MEETING MINUTES <br /> MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> MAY 22, 2024 <br /> Mr. Bonvie asked for audience comments. An abutter at 83 Neshobe Road asked what the <br /> difference was between a plunge pool and a regular pool. Mr. Morris said that the plunge pool <br /> comes in one piece. She stated that her septic system abuts the area were the pool will be. She has <br /> no issues with the pool, but wanted to make sure there will be no issues with the drainage of the <br /> pool. <br /> Mr. Bonvie explained that there is instructions on the drainage process of the pool, and will <br /> discharge into the drywell. <br /> Mr. Furbush made a motion to close the public hearing. Ms. Sangeleer second. All were in favor. <br /> Mr. Ganzenmuller made a motion that the Board issue a Written Finding to Owners, Fernando and <br /> Eduarda Frias Carreiro under §174-17 and §174-33 (Setback from wetlands), of the Zoning <br /> Bylaws to allow for construction of a 9 ft.x 21 ft.plunge pool on property located in the R3 Zoning <br /> District, Map 125, Parcel 58, Mashpee, MA with the following conditions: <br /> 1. The Board has determined that the applicant meets all the conditions of a Written Finding <br /> under Mass General Law 40A Section 6. <br /> 2. Site Plan - Drawing Title: Proposed Pool Plan— Prepared for: Fernando & Eduarda <br /> Carreiro, 1 Pontiac Road, Mashpee, MA. Project: 1 Pontiac Road, Mashpee, MA. Sheet 1 <br /> of 1, Date: February 5, 2024, Prepared by: Cape & Islands Engineering, Scale: 1" = 20', <br /> Stamped and signed by Matthew C. Costa, No. 52282, and Raul Lizardi-Rivera, No.: <br /> 46845. <br /> 3. Conditioned on all Town Department comments read into the record including but not <br /> limited to the Conservation Department and the Board of Health. <br /> 4. Any changes to the plans will require the applicant to return to this Board. <br /> 5. The Board finds under §174-17 and §174-33, that the new pool will be not substantially <br /> more detrimental to the neighborhood over what currently exists, and will not be setback <br /> any closer to the wetland than what currently exists. <br /> 6.
