MASHPEE COMMUNITY GARDEN ADVISORY COMMITTEE (MCGAC) MEETING MINUTES May 15, 2024 @ 7:00 P.M. Popponesset Meeting Room PRESENT: Chair, Kirsten Nordstrom, Frank Gallello, Brian Logan, Polly Minugh (via Zoom), Roslyn Robinson Mann ABSENT: N/A GUEST ATTENDEES: None at This Time. CALL TO ORDER: Chair, Kirsten Nordstrom called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m at the Mashpee Town Hall, 16 Great Neck Road North, Mashpee, MA in the Popponesset Meeting Room. DISCUSS AND APPROVE MINUTES OF JANUARY 17, 2024 MCGAC MEETING A motion was made by Frank Gallello to approve the January 17, 2024 MCGAC meeting minutes. Motion seconded by Brian Logan. Motion passed by unanimous consent. DISCUSS AND APPROVE MINUTES OF APRIL 17, 2024 MCGAC MEETING A motion was made by Frank Gallello to approve the April 17, 2024 MCGAC meeting minutes. Motion seconded by Brian Logan. Motion passed by unanimous consent. COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE:  Contacted remaining, returning gardeners to confirm interest or removal from list. Chair Nordstrom gave a shout out to Stacey Durcharme to thank her for all of her help keeping track of the applications, etc. Chair Nordstrom said that she sent one last email out to the handful of gardeners that had not responded and most of them won’t be returning. As it stands, there is 1 person remaining on the waitlist. Plots 1 and 2 are still open. Polly Minugh expressed a concern regarding Plot #7 stating that last year the vegetable were left to rot and this year the weeds are already a foot high. Chair Nordstrom will get in contact with the gardener of that plot.  REPORTS Chair Nordstrom reported that she sent an email out to everybody welcoming them to the garden. She included a link to the Rules and Regulations and the combination for the lock. In the email, she invited th everyone to join fellow gardeners on June 8 at 10:00am. The Committee agreed on a rain date of Saturday, th June 15 at 10:00am. 1
