Jet ski noise and reckless operation <br /> During the Select Board Meeting on June 24, 2024, a request was approved to take <br /> the issue of personal watercraft pond usage restrictions to the state level. It was <br /> emphasized that as much evidence and documentation as possible should be provided <br /> to support this request. It was also suggested that all complaints about jet ski noise <br /> and reckless operation should be reported to the non-emergency police line to gather <br /> more evidence of the issue. <br /> The concerns include noise complaints, safety issues, and environmental impacts such <br /> as erosion. It was revealed during a discussion with the Harbor Master that 24 tickets <br /> were issued in one day, and 7 of those required immediate removal of the jet skis <br /> from the pond. <br /> Furthermore, there was a suggestion to grandfather in current Mashpee residents with <br /> frontage on Mashpee-Wakeby pond who own jet skis, allowing them to continue <br /> using them. However,non-residents would not be permitted to operate jet skis on the <br /> pond. <br /> 3.
