3. Review of request of variance from Title 5 regulation — 226 Glenneagle
Drive, Ronald Bonvie
The project involves remodeling with a new I/A system. The issue arises with the
1500 gallon tank, which was part of an approved Board of Health plan. During
installation, the contractor faced difficulty navigating the slope and proposed cutting
down the entire front yard. A revised plan was submitted, positioning the tank 10 ft
from the right of way. However, the contractor suggested that this would necessitate
the construction of a road across the lot. A third revision was made, relocating the
tank 3 ft off the right of way, which would place it 14.5 ft from the pavement. The
contractor confirmed that this adjustment is feasible. It was necessary to seek
approval from the owner of the road (New Seabury Corporation), and after contacting
Mr. Richardson from the New Seabury HOA, approval was requested and received
via email.
AGENT COMMENTS
• Title V regulation requires that a septic component must be at least
10 feet away from the property line.
• A variance is being requested because the component will be 3 feet
from the property line, but 14 feet from the actual road.
• There are no concerns with the project as proposed.
There are no Commissioners or Public Comments.
Motion made by Mr. Livingston to accept the variance at 226 Glenneagle Drive of a 3 ft
setback from the property line for the septic tank. Motion seconded by Mr. Raposa.
• Roll Call: Mr. Livingston (Yes), Mr. Raposa(Yes), Mr. Vigilio (Yes).
Motion passed unanimously.
Documents provided: Public hearing/variance request form, application #VAR-24-122280
ADDITIONAL TOPICS
Mr. Livingston commends Mr. Seabury and staff for organizing the Health Fair and
putting it together.
HEALTH AGENT DISCUSSION
The health fair scheduled for June 6, 2024, has been moved indoors to the Quashnet
School. The event will take place from 5 pm to 7 pm, with vendor setup starting at 4 pm. The
only meeting in July will be on the 3rd.
4
