Finance Committee <br />Minutes <br />August 1, 2024 <br /> <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />A motion was made by Jeff Pettengill to amend the agenda to add a third item, Approval to Pay an Invoice in <br />the Amount of $227. Town Manager Updates. <br />N/A <br /> <br />2. Town Charter Review Updates. <br />Greg McKelvey gave an update on the progress of the Charter Review Committee stating that the last <br />Committee meeting was productive. He stated that several items were voted on. Mainly, administrative items. <br />They are gearing up to tackle larger issues regarding what should be changed and what should remain the same <br />in the Town Charter. They are hopeful that it can be wrapped up and ready to be presented at the May Town <br />Meeting. <br /> <br />The Committee is in discussion regarding changing how Agendas should be posted. Currently, the agenda is <br />required to be posted on the Town bulletin board and they are considering having the agenda be posted to the <br />Town’s website as well. <br /> <br />The Committee is also in discussion about whether certain Town positions and Board/Committee/Commission <br />seats should be elected or appointed. <br /> <br />3. Approval to Pay an Invoice in the Amount of $227. to the Association of Town Finance Committees for <br />annual dues. <br />A motion was made by Jeff Pettengill to approve payment in the amount of $227. to the Association of Town <br />Finance Committees for the annual dues. <br />Motion seconded by Darlene Furbush. <br /> <br />Mr. Milbury questioned what this is for and it was explained that it gives Committee Members the ability to <br />attend seminars and training held by the Association and that the Committee is included in the Association’s <br />updates and newsletters. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
