The requested appropriation is $139,420.
Article #8 proposes to create and fund a full-time Facilities Lead Wastewater Operator within the Department of
Wastewater Management. The requested appropriation is $145,905.
Mr. Meader indicated that with the size of the treatment plant 3.2 operators are required. Two positions are
proposed as Mr. Meader would qualify as an operator. Currently, the Town is conducting due diligence and
evaluating cost and operational efficiencies. The placeholder is prudent. It is anticipated that a recommendation
with final costs would be presented to the Select Board prior to the execution of the October warrant.
Article #9: To utilize funding previously approved; FY 2022 Article 19 May Town Meeting; for a groundwater
recharge evaluation in the Waquoit Bay watershed for safe and responsible discharge.
