Chair, Harris asked the Commissioners to think about and give input at the next meeting about <br />why they have become a Sewer Commissioner, what they bring to the Commission and why <br />they chose to be a part of it. <br />Chair, Harris reported that the Town Manager presented his goals for the 2024-2025 year at the <br />th <br />Select Board meeting on July 15. His presentation includes addressing clean water. Mr. <br />Collins sent an email to Chair Harris describing his goals. The email was distributed and will be <br />th <br />discussed at the next meeting, August 15. <br />Chair, Harris stated that part of the clean water plan of 2015 was shellfish mitigation. She said <br />she will have the DNR come to a future Sewer Commission meeting to give an update. <br />Chair Harris asked if any of the Commissioners had anything to address as they move forward <br />and Co-Chair, Towle stated that he would like the agenda of the Sewer Commission meetings <br />be posted to the website prior to the meeting being held. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Co-Chair, Towle to propose the agenda be posted to the Town <br />website prior to the meeting being held. <br />Motion seconded by Mrs. Sprout. <br />Motion passed by unanimous consent. <br /> <br />Phyllis Sprout stated that she would like to see the Commission work with the Board of Health <br />with regard to testing of the wastewater. Jared stated that he has been in communication with <br />the Health Agent and reported that if there is a need for testing in the future the BOH will <br />inform the Sewer Commission. <br /> <br />2. Recruitment of new Sewer Commission members. <br />This item was addressed above. <br /> <br />WASTEWATER SUPERINTENDENT UPDATE <br /> <br />1. Submission of Project Evaluation Form (PEF) for the Mashpee 2025-Mashpee-Wakeby <br />Watershed Wastewater System. <br />th <br />Jared Meader reported that the PEF was submitted last Thursday, July 25 and there is nothing <br />more to report until they come out with the Public Comment. He stated that, as a project, it <br />rated very high at about 540. The only thing they are cautious about is the fact that it’s not <br />supported by the CWMP. Jared went on to state that the PEF is basically the starting <br />application for SRF funding. <br /> <br />2. Memo to Select Board for request to release available funds from Cape Cod <br />Commission DRI Mitigation Funds to support study of PEF. <br />Jared stated that the Select Board has approved the letter requesting the Cape Cod Commission <br />release the funds for the PEF study. <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br /> <br />
