Also
present was Building Commissioner, David Morris.
Chairman Bonvie opened the meeting at 6:00 pm with a moment of silence in memory of the lives
lost on September 11, 2001. The Chair announced that the hearings were being televised live on
Mashpee TV. He will take comments after each hearing.
CONTINUED HEARINGS
54 Kim Path: Owners John J. and Christine S. Mizzi request a Special Permit under §174-17.1
and§174-33 of the Zoning Bylaws to raze and replace a pre-existing,nonconforming single-family
structure on property located in the R-3 and Popponesset Overlay District(s), Map 117,Parcel 96,
Mashpee, MA. (Continued front August 28, 2024 hearings at the request of the Attorney).
Attorney Christopher Kirrane, Mr. Thomas Bunker, with BSS Design, and Mr. Michael Borselli,
with Falmouth Engineering. Mr. Borselli was present to answer any technical engineering
questions for Jeff Ryther, Engineer for BSS Design who was not present.
At the previous meeting, some Board members had questions regarding the proposed project.
There was concern that storm water would impact the mounted breakout wall in the rear of the
property and flow into other properties and create flood issues. There was some discussion
regarding topography. The design team decided to re-evaluate the issues and add additional
drainage for storm water capacity. This resulted in the team adding six new catch basins in the rear
of the property, and adding an additional 125 gallon leaching chamber. This will capture water
that flows onsite. Attorney Kirrane believes that this addressed the Board's concern regarding
storm water management and will prevent any water flow issues.
The Board was aware that the comments from the Board of Health, and Conservation Department
were read into the record at the previous meeting.
t
