These plans include the construction of an 8-foot wide box <br /> culvert. The Association has expressed concerns about the potential liabilities arising <br /> from the town's actions affecting their property. However, the Town Council has clarified <br /> that they are not liable for any impacts on Association land if they restore conditions to <br /> what existed before the bogs. Additionally, the Director of Public Works (DPW) will be <br /> submitting a letter of interest for a Barnstable County grant by the end of September, with <br /> ongoing research into further grant opportunities. <br /> • Upper Quashnet Restoration— Ongoing planning and permitting regarding the full <br /> wetland restoration and full river realignment. <br /> • Bylaw Review subcommittee/Updates on proposed Ch. 172 amendments for the <br /> October 2022 - The Town Council has provided the following comments: <br /> o Discussing the removal of regulatory and bylaw changes narrative, distinguishing <br /> those requiring a Town meeting. <br /> o Proposing an increase in the buffer zone to 150ft. <br /> o Introducing a new bylaw section on banning nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers <br /> in "resource areas." <br /> 1 <br />
