The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
APPROVAL OF MINTUES — November 6, 2024
MOTION:
Mr. Richardson made a motion to approve the meeting minutes of November 6,
2024 as written. Seconded by Mr. Balzarini. All in favor.
OLD BUSINESS
Review of Draft Housing Production Plan
Ms. Waygan noted the first comment talks about gentrification and stated that most tribal
citizens live outside of Mashpee. There should be a comment about the lack of housing
choices causing displacement of our Native American population. She also noted Section 5, it
is speaking directly to subsidized multifamily rental units. We do have multifamily housing that
is not subsidized or affordable.
Ms. Waygan continued about housing characteristics on the next page, the fourth bullet point,
the price of housing and new homes is typically larger and significantly more expensive, thus
pricing out the working class.
