Egasti, Trustee Doc. #: 1019882 <br /> 23 Cordwood Road Ctf. #: 178644 <br /> (Map 112 Parcel 83) <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> A Petition was filed on April 11, 2016 by Jane H. Egasti, Trustee requested a <br /> Variance under §174-31 of the Zoning Bylaws to raze and replace an existing garage on <br /> property located in an R-3 Zoning District, and within the (Popponesset Overlay), (Map <br /> 112 Parcel 83),Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A.Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of <br /> general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on April 15, 2016 and April 22, 2016 a copy <br /> of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A §10 and the Town of Mashpec <br /> Zoning By-laws. <br /> Public Hearings were held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at which time the following members of the Board of Appeals <br /> sat in on this hearing; Chairman, Jonathan Furbush, Vice Chairman, William Blaisdell, <br /> Board Members, Scott Goldstein, Dom DeBarros, and Associate Members, Brad Pittsley. <br /> Mr. Doug Mullen, Mullen Building represented the homeowner who is requesting <br /> to raze and replace a small detached garage. Doug presented this petition project back in <br /> February to modify the existing garage by extending it and realized that the foundation <br /> could not support the expansion, so the homeowner decided to raze and replace instead. <br /> The 4 foot Variance of the 15 foot side yard setback was approved at the meeting on March <br /> 9, 2016. Mr. Mullen said he is putting a second floor in the structure, and it will be mainly <br /> storage, and the first floor will be used as an art studio. <br /> Mr. Goldstein read the Board of Health cornrrnents dated May 11, 2016 into the <br /> record; "The structure is to remain unheated. A deed restriction is required limiting the <br /> property to three bedrooms." <br /> Mr. Pittsley read the Conservation Comments into the record for both petitions. <br /> Mr. DeBarros read the Inspection Department comments dated May 5, 2016 into <br /> the record. <br /> 1 <br />
