Town of Mashpee <br />Shellfish Commission 16 Great Neck Road North <br />Mashpee, MA 02649 <br />MINUTES OF MEETING April 10, 2012 <br />Attendance: William Holmes, Stephen Marques, Peter Thomas & Richard York <br />Public: Brian Kehrl, Richard Cook, and Vernon Pocknett <br />Convene Meeting: 7:00 PM <br />Approval of Minutes: February 7, 2012 Vote - unanimous approval <br />Shellfish Constable's Report: After a site visit and shellfish survey, Mass DMF <br />sent a letter approving of Richard Cook's new proposed aquaculture site in <br />Popponesset Bay. The 6 SolarBee photoelectric water circulators were installed <br />in Santuit Pond on March 21. The pond still has the cold weather diatom bloom <br />with no blue-green algae observed. <br />Old Business: <br />Shellfish Aquaculture Regulations: York made a motion to recommend to <br />the Board of Selectmen the changes proposed in the Shellfish Aquaculture <br />Regulations and Application Procedure/Form review. Seconded by Marques. <br />Vote - unanimous in favor. <br />Sponge Fouling: Marques and York will work on removal <br />Waquoit Bay Town Line: No new information <br />Shellfish Relays: A location to plant relayed quahogs was discussed. <br />New Busines: None <br />0800 PM - Adjournment <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Richard York <br />Shellfish Commission Secretary <br />
