Minutes of the ,Meeting of the PLANNING BOARD DATE: March 1 , 1978 TIMEF 8: 00 PRESENT: Thomas Bourgeois Danald Blakeman Richardson Jonas Earle Marsters Joe Reardon, Town Counsel The Board reviewed the articles for the annual town meeting to comply with the mandatory changes in Chapter 808. It is the opinion of the Board that the zoning by-law should be revised in stages so as to be better understood by the public. 5 . 1 Words are changed to reas as 5. 1 in the zoning by--law and still maintain the meaning in 808. 6.3 Words "and uses" had been mistakenly deleted in printing. B3 Tho it is not legally necessary to include this correc- tion as an article, it will make the change clear. E 6 . 21 In accordance with 808, Sec. 9, par. 7, adding that appli- cants must also give a copy of application to the Board of Appeals. 6 . 22 808 allows up to two years, and this the Planning Board approved. The Building Inspector is responsible for determining whether there is good cause for an extension. Previous by--law did not set a limit by which construction must begin. . In accordance with 8080 Sec. 9, par. S. 6 . 23 Overrides provision in our current by-law which prohibits any accessory use on the same lot as principle use. This makes exception for scientific uses. 808, Sec. 9, par, 9 12. 1 Delete and replace . Allows for up to 6 associate members, two terms expring every year for three-year term. Sec12, par 1 . 12 .2 808 says "shall elect annually a chairman. " This reads "shall organize" to conform to Planning Board requirement and adds election of a Clerk from its members, giving the applicant someone to file plans with. Sec . 12, par 2 12.3 All new in accordange with '808, Sec . 12, par. 1 . 4. 7 As per 808, Sec. 6, par 2. .12.4 From 808, sets up method for removing a person from the Board of Appeals for cause . Person could resign to avoid public hearing on discharge .
