Minutes of Combined Meeting of Mashpee Design Review Committee and Mashpee Plan Review Committee Held Tuesday, April 7, 2015 Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room Design Review Members Present: Joseph Cummings and Jonathan Furbush Plan Review Members Present: Catherine Laurent, DPW Director Michael Mendoza, Building Commissioner Tom Mayo, Assistant Town Manager Thomas Rullo, Fire Chief Scott Carline— Police Department Audience: Sam Houghton — Mashpee Enterprise Michael Mendoza called the meeting to order at 9:10 a.m. 161 Commercial Street Applicant —Jack Carter, Jr. Sign Application —Classic Cars of Mashpee Free standing and building signs Jack Carter, Jr. appeared and said he is looking to put a new building at 161 Commercial Street and there will be 2 signs—one street sign and one entranceway. Street sign • Will be black with gold lettering on it. • Sign will be 7 feet tall; about 66 inches wide X 46 inches high; about 24 square feet; will be 5 feet off the property line; and will have a little roof on top. • Fluorescent lights under roof to give faint glisten down. + Will be on timers. Joseph Cummings advised the By-Law states lighting restricted to 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. so lights cannot be on after 11 p.m. Jack Carter said he will set timer so that lighting will be in agreement with Town By-Law- Entranceway sign • Will go in the pitch portion of the front porch. • 48 inches wide and 18 inches high to the peak. • Will be a car sign with letters in gold. • This will be first sign to go up. MOTION: Jonathan Furbush motioned to approve Jack Carter's application for 161 Commercial Street for Classic Cars of Mashpee for a free-standing sign and a building sign, as presented. Joseph Cummings seconded this motion; and it was approved by Design Review.
