Mashpee Community TV (MTV) <br /> <br />Bill Nay reported: <br /> <br />st <br /> MTV had 1 annual meeting in November. <br /> MTV working with Human Services to make a series of videos dealing with substance abuse issue. <br /> Participation in the community—basically a group of women holding a discussion has been growing in <br />popularity. Bill Nay said the program is designed along the line of “The View”. <br /> Also, a group of women from the Tribal Center come in now. <br /> Bill said more people are streaming now so he is trying to get group to do from Town Hall, rather than <br />from Quashnet School. <br /> <br />Lola McCray commented that MTV needs more advertisement. She said not everyone has a computer but they are <br />watching MTV broadcasts. Bill Nay said they are aware of this and are talking about putting a weekly column in <br />the paper. Lola suggested putting a column in the Senior Center newsletter. <br /> <br />Lola said artists were at the Mashpee Senior Center and they had been on Falmouth TV. They didn’t even know <br />there was a Mashpee TV. Bill said he contacted them when he became aware of that. <br /> <br />Bill Nay advised that the State level group pursuing access to high def is looking to reintroduce Bills to State <br />legislators regarding the high def issue. Bill said the group is urging that letters be sent to State representatives <br />urging passage of the re-filed Bill. <br /> <br /> <br />NEXT MEETING…1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Town Hall. <br /> <br /> <br />Adjournment… Dan Riley motioned to adjourn the meeting; Lolita McCray seconded the motion; and the motion <br />was passed.
