BOARD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES <br /> MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 1990 7 PM <br /> I Present: 0. Robertson, Chairperson 0. Selander <br /> A. Fiorentini A. Tanneyhill <br /> M. Fordham H. De Foe <br /> Library Director <br /> II Minutes of the August meeting were accepted as written. <br /> SIT Reports: <br /> A. The librarian' s report was accepted as read. The report <br /> is now broken down per the town' s accounting system. <br /> Helene De Foe noted that inter-loan this year has been <br /> less than previous years. <br /> B. The Friends of the Library invitations have been sent out <br /> for the Sunday get-together honoring all of the library <br /> volunteers. <br /> IV Correspondence: <br /> A. Memo received from board of selectmen that library liaison <br /> will be Carol Jacobson. Memo also received on the selec- <br /> tion of articles for the Town Meeting Warrant. Articles <br /> for storm windows may not go in the Warrant at this time. <br /> B. Helene has received a letter from the Mass. Library Board <br /> of Commissioners that there will be no state grant this <br /> year for Mashpee. <br /> C. A working seminar will be held on Saturday morning, <br /> September 15 , 9 : 30 a. m. to 1 : 00 p. m. at Brewster on <br /> Collection Assessment for use with the Mashpee library <br /> assessment. <br /> D. The Mashpee Cable Vision has donated video equipment to <br /> the library, consisting of monitor, VCR and tapes . They <br /> would like to know when it will be convenient to have a <br /> meeting for a formal presentation. <br /> V Old Business : <br /> A. Helene will send a note of thanks to Mrs. Dickson to <br /> confirm receipt, as a gift, the doll carvings which <br /> are displayed in the glass case. <br /> VI New Business : I <br /> A. Had a failure in the emergency lights with a burn out of <br /> the wiring board and loss of back-up battery. Looks as <br /> if it was caused by lightening or electric power surge. <br /> Repairs for the wiring board, battery and electrical work <br /> are in the order of about $550 .00. Mr. Harrington has <br /> been asked to review this matter to determine whether it <br /> would be advisable to present this as an insurance claim. <br />
