Committee felt the Powers firm brought a more personal touch to <br /> the table, was very well prepared, and had done a great deal of <br /> homework on the Mashpee project . The Powers firm also answered <br /> the Sub-Committee questionnaire thoroughly and was presented in <br /> written form. <br /> The Chairman then opened the floor to discussion: <br /> Board Member Carlo DiEste commented it was apparent that the <br /> Sub-Committee had conducted an extremely thorough interview <br /> process of the candidate firms; and that in view of their <br /> unanimous vote, there was not much left to consider. <br /> Helene DeFoe explained that following the vote of the <br /> Board of Trustees this evening, a memo will be forwarded to the <br /> Town Administrator requesting this matter be included on the <br /> next agenda for the Board of Selectmen' s Meeting. At this point <br /> a request will be made that the Board of Selectmen accept the <br /> recommendation, allowing negotiations to begin with the first <br /> choice firm. <br /> There being no further discussion, the Chairman entertained <br /> a motion be made in this matter. <br /> MOTION: Terry Hyde made a Motion to accept the <br /> recommendations of the Library Expansion Building Committee for a <br /> rank order of candidate architectural firms being Powers and <br /> Company, Inc . as First Choice; J. Stewart Roberts Associates, <br /> Inc. as Second Choice; and Gaffney Architects, Inc. as Third <br /> Choice; which Motion was seconded by Carlo DiEste.
