Committee felt the Powers firm brought a more personal touch to the table, was very well prepared, and had done a great deal of homework on the Mashpee project . The Powers firm also answered the Sub-Committee questionnaire thoroughly and was presented in written form. The Chairman then opened the floor to discussion: Board Member Carlo DiEste commented it was apparent that the Sub-Committee had conducted an extremely thorough interview process of the candidate firms; and that in view of their unanimous vote, there was not much left to consider. Helene DeFoe explained that following the vote of the Board of Trustees this evening, a memo will be forwarded to the Town Administrator requesting this matter be included on the next agenda for the Board of Selectmen' s Meeting. At this point a request will be made that the Board of Selectmen accept the recommendation, allowing negotiations to begin with the first choice firm. There being no further discussion, the Chairman entertained a motion be made in this matter. MOTION: Terry Hyde made a Motion to accept the recommendations of the Library Expansion Building Committee for a rank order of candidate architectural firms being Powers and Company, Inc . as First Choice; J. Stewart Roberts Associates, Inc. as Second Choice; and Gaffney Architects, Inc. as Third Choice; which Motion was seconded by Carlo DiEste. The Chairman determined to vote to be unanimous with no one opposed. Adjournment There being no further Board of Trustee business to address, the Chairman entertained a motion to adjourn. MOTION: Carlo DiEste made a Motion to adjourn the Meeting; which Motion was duly seconded by Diane Smith and so voted unanimously.
