I
MASHPEE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT/INDUSTRIAL CORP. MINUTES
MARCH 23, 2010
Present: Joe Noonan, Terrie Cook, Robyn Simmons, Bob Cobuzzi (conference call).
Absent: Mary LeClair,,,Cob 24L)d-ISA Also: Brian Kehrl, Mashpee Enterprise
j Joe Noonan called the meeting to order at 6:08PM at Town Hall, Rm 1.
I
The Minutes of January 26, 2010 were moved as corrected by Robyn, Terrie seconded.
Unanimous.
Robyn reported that she talked to Paul Nedzwiecki at the Commission. It is important that we
all be on the same page with the same strategic plan. Mashpee and Falmouth need to have
similar goals. Paul is willing to help us. He suggested a letter of intent, a two-page narrative, as
the first step.
The Grant Application states we are looking for a joint part-time Director. Mashpee could join
with Falmouth on the SEED Program for small loans.
We need to talk with Falmouth as it does not appear we are going in the same direction. We
need a common strategic plan, unless they can come up with some land for sale. We are in
different stages in our development.
Joe suggested we refine the grant application, send it out to everyone for their review, and invite
Paul Nedzwiecki in to help us. A sub-committee of Falmouth and Mashpee members will then
meet with Paul.
Joe will call Michael Galasso from the Falmouth EDIC to talk about the letter of intent.
We will strike `catalogue' and `tax-takings' out of the application. The application will be going
to Elaine Davis.
Grant Application Guidelines are the same: 25% needs to be in kind, 5%comes from each of the
Town Funds in Mashpee and Falmouth. As collaborating partners in a regional approach,
Mashpee and Falmouth are asking for $75,000 each, totaling $150,000.
Next meeting Tuesday, April 27'. Selectman Chair Wayne Taylor has requested to come to the
next EDIC meeting to talk about CPC.
Terrie Cook moved to adjourn, Robyn seconded. Adjourned at 6:40PM.
*AryAbrpe, g Secretary
