Business speakers will be invited to speak, and <br /> Gloria noted favorably the EDC and business community link 'with <br /> education. <br /> Marketing Committee: Sharon distributed a marketing plan for <br /> Mashpee to include the following: Advertise in the NE Real <br /> Estate Journal, Cape Cod Times , and Cape Cod Life Magazine; <br /> create an infomercial on Mashpee cable; continue the Internet/Web <br /> Page and Guide for Business ; join the Cape Tech Council ; set <br /> up a display booth at events and/or Willowbend and New Seabury; <br /> target Mashpee CEO' s <br /> Sharon suggested working on a full color brochure as a <br /> promotional piece. Wayne or an EDC member could dedicate his/her <br /> time to this or else farm it out. A three—panel brochure made <br /> into 1, 000 copies would cost $2 , 000 to $3 ,000 . Sharon suggested <br /> advertising in the sports section of the Sunday Cape Cod Times <br /> between Memorial Day and Labor Day at a cost of $141 per week . <br /> and $2 , 115 for the season. Sharon suggested advertising in <br /> the two summer issues of .Cape Cod Life and their Annual Guide <br /> issue at a cost of $1 , 977 . The Annual Guide gets national <br /> coverage. It would be a 1/6 page ad, and there would be a 15% <br /> discount if camera ready. It was suggested asking Cape Cod <br /> Life to do a story on Mashpee for free. Sharon suggested a <br /> display booth at the July concert and/or permanently at <br /> Willowbend and New Seabury golf codrses .. <br /> Sharon reported on the Cape Tech Council meeting she attended. <br /> They are interested in working with EDC to develop a "model" <br /> to attract new businesses and market with them. The Industrial <br /> Park would be part of it. The next meeting is December 6th <br /> and a Com Electric representative will be leading the discussion. <br /> Wayne suggested contacting Arlene Trombley, and .Sharon will <br /> follow this up. . i . <br /> BRAINSTORM SESSION <br /> EDC was in agreement about purchasing many small items rather <br /> than making a few large purchases .
