Pat Pry <br /> declined. <br /> New members have to write a letter of interest. EDC agreed <br /> to endorse all interested candidates in one letter to the <br /> Selectmen. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Sharon K. will attend the Cape Tech Council breakfast on <br /> June 5 . She will talk to Amy about scheduling the Industrial <br /> Park owners to speak at a fall meeting. <br /> Wayne D. was to have followed up on a lead from Nancy Caffyn <br /> about an interested developer for Southport. <br /> We are still seeking a volunteer who is income eligible to <br /> volunteer his/her services to clip newspaper articles pertaining <br /> to economic development in exchange for a $500 tax rebate. <br /> Paul R. stated that the Committee would like to pursue making <br /> the Economic Development Program into a full-time program with <br /> a full-tiiRe Coordinator. <br /> i <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Paul R. stated a woman came into his office with a lead for <br /> the Industrial Park, a software company looking for 5, 000 sf <br /> to employ 25 people. He will direct this to the Industrial <br /> Park principals and Wayne D. <br /> EDC agreed to cancel the June 10th and 24th meetings and schedule <br /> only one meeting on Thursday , June 5th, to finalize the FY97 <br /> budget and determine the new Chairperson and projects for FY98 . <br /> Paul R. asked EDC to consider nominating Wayne D. as Chairperson , <br /> if this is legally feasible. <br /> -2- <br />
