Suggestions for spending the remaining balance were: <br /> - Attending the ,Tune 25th EDC Conference on "Winning Strategies" <br /> - Donate towards a Chamber of Commerce sign outside Town Hall <br /> - Prepay the internet ( $100 ) <br /> Buy a table at the Mashpee Pops concert this summer <br /> Spend up to $500 for a Cape Cod Times ad thanking Mashpee <br /> businesses who have come to Town this year. (There are at <br /> least 20. ) <br /> Sharon K. made a motion to allocate $500 to purchase an ad in <br /> the Cape Cod Times or Boston Globe thanking new businesses for <br /> coming to Mashpee; Cynthia G. seconded. Unanimous. <br /> Wayne D. and Ted L. will work on this effort. <br /> MEMBERSHIP DISCUSSION <br /> Paul R. noted the following EDC reappointments for FY98 : <br /> - Cynthia Green -- member <br /> - Sharon Koblinsky -- alternate <br /> Stephen Kyros -- alternate <br /> Ted Lewis -- alternate <br /> Paul R. will have Wayne D. prepare a follow-up letter to the <br /> Selectmen requesting the above EDC reappointments along with <br /> endorsements of any new members. <br /> Paul R. stated that Anne McDonald Daley . will not be joining <br /> EDC. Jack Hart is still interested in joining, and he arrived <br /> at 7 : 35 p.m. to meet with the Committee and learn what the <br /> Committee has accomplished to date. Diane Mulvey ' s husband, <br /> Peter Mulvey, is interested. A retired Mashpee resident from <br /> Hampton Beach, New Hampshire has expressed interest. Cynthia <br /> Green stated that Steve Milton from Puritan Clothing may be <br /> interested. The Mashpee Chamber Board will try to recruit EDC <br /> members and will make it an agenda item. <br /> FY98 CHAIRPERSON <br /> Wayne D. agreed to be the Chairperson until one is appointed. <br /> He will call the next EDC meeting in July. <br /> FY98 PROJECTS <br /> EDC agreed to postpone this effort so that the new Committee <br /> can develop their own. <br /> -2- <br />
