ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE MINUTES <br /> JANUARY 29 , 1998 <br /> Fred DiMeco, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 7 : 05 p.m. <br /> in Conference Room #2 at Mashpee Town Hall. <br /> Present: Fred DiMeco, Shirley Frye , Peter Mulvey. <br /> Also: Wayne Duchemin. <br /> MINUTES: The Minutes of October 22 , 1998 and December 17 , 1998 <br /> were accepted as presented. <br /> ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR'S REPORT: <br /> Wayne D. stated that EDC' s proposed budget was accepted to go <br /> before Town Meeting, and this is an interum step to having a <br /> full-time program. Bob W. requested that the $15 ,000 be itemized <br /> as soon as possible. <br /> Wayne D. ordered a Market Profile Report for EDC. <br /> Shirley F. distributed a copy of Mashpee ' s home page which is <br /> the State ' s version. Wayne D. is working with Jack Hart on <br /> updating our Web site. He and Jack will be meeting with Maxm <br /> Consulting. <br /> Wayne D. reviewed the draft Mashpee brochure which includes <br /> the four Cornerstones and a Business Directory , which will <br /> provide an opportunity for businesses to network. The cover <br /> will be a collage of logos in sea green and blue. Wayne asked <br /> EDC to forward any comments or changes to him. The cost will <br /> range from $1 ,500 to $2 ,000 . <br /> Peter M. asked about Quashnet and Southport. Wayne D. will <br /> note Quashnet under quality of life. Southport was not listed <br /> because the deal has not been completed. <br /> Wayne D. stated the Planning Department will show us a map of <br /> available commercial land in Mashpee which will be available <br /> this month, <br /> Wayne D. is working on making the property owners aware of EDC' s <br /> campaign efforts . He will have a draft inquiry sheet on the <br /> Innkeeper ' s Workshop completed by the end of this month. He <br /> will create a PR blurb using March 21st to determine interest <br /> first, and an agenda packet will follow. <br /> r • ; <br /> Wayne D. stated that EDC -has been asked to join the Cape Tech <br /> Council which has a fee of $500 per year. They meet once a <br /> week for a breakfast meeting. <br /> r , <br />
