Planning for sewers; connections with private sewers: Update <br /> <br />Pond & Estuary Water Quality Monitoring: Update <br /> <br />The Chair noted George Rickenbocker has resigned from the PAL Program and is not sure what <br />the status of this program is. They will be talking about it at a meeting tomorrow and hopefully <br />will get the status. <br /> <br />Quashnet River Restoration/Realignment Project: Update <br /> <br />Katelyn Cadoret noted Andrew McManus, Conservation Agent, has sent out the RFP for the <br />Quashnet River Restoration. <br /> <br />REPORTS <br /> <br />Conservation Department Report: <br /> <br />The Chair stated the MEC Board last month voted to oppose getting rid of the community <br />gardens. Mr. Gottlieb said the plan is to put the gardens around the pickle ball court. Katelyn <br />stated this will be managed by DPW and the Selectmen’s Office. The Chair asked her if she <br />would provide him with a list of who the gardeners were from last year because he would like to <br />contact them to get their input. <br />Land Stewards Program: Update <br />Katelyn Cadoret noted she has been working with AmeriCorps and other volunteers and they are <br />not hearing any complaints on Conservation Lands. <br />Interactive Trail Mapping: Update <br />She said the Falmouth CPC did not approve the Mashpee Wildlife proposals to fund the new <br />refuge maps so Mashpee will be funding it. She is putting up brochures on the kioks but there is <br />nothing on line yet. <br />Herring Count and Herring Ladder Improvements: Update <br />Katelyn noted last Sunday there was a Herring Run Exploration Day with many people <br />attending. She commented the herring are running slowly. <br />Farley Bog Restoration: Update <br />None <br />Discussion and recommendations for limiting off-road vehicle, ATV and dirt bike damage <br />to Conservation Lands: Update <br />Katelyn reported there was one incident at Santuit Pond where 3 ATVs went right thru the river <br />base near the fish ladder. <br />Diana Lund Memorial at John’s Pond Park: Update <br />The Chair stated the contractors will be producing the plaque and Drew is working on placing the <br />rock at John’s Pond Park and his company will be donating a simple design for the plantings. <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> <br />
