MINUTES September 9, 1993 2 BOARD OF HEALTH APPOINTMENT: Cape & Islands/Paul Griffin - 138 Ninigret Ave. Mr. David Sanicki and Mr. Paul Griffin were in atten- dance for this scheduled appointment. Mr. Greelish questioned Mr. Sanicki as to the town water situation and requested Mr. Sanicki provide a list of abut- ters who intend to hookup. Mr. Griffin relayed, "The abutter at #142 Ninigret Ave. has made application for public water service. " "I am await- ing information from the Water District as to whether #135 Ninigret Avenue has also made application. " Mr. Greelish recommended this Board receive verification from the Water District that #136, #142 and #138 Ninigret have made application for public water service. "Once we re- ceive verification Mr. Griffin will receive Board of Health sign-off on the building permit. Board members agreed. APPOINTMENT: Down Cape Engineering - 21 Taffrail Mr. Al Roberti. , Mr. Jeff McDonald and Mr. Ar ie Ojala, P.E. were in attendance for this scheduled appointment. Mr. Evans relayed, "A pert test was performed on August 5, 1993. " "The pert failed as it did not meet the State re- quirements of 30 minutes per inch. " Mr. Roberti commented, "Due to the configuration of the lot we are requesting a wetlands variance of 201 . " "We are proposing a mounded system with retaining walls. " "The pro- posed house is 40' x 20' and will be constructed on piles. " Mr. Ojala stated, "All unsuitable soils will be removed. " "In 1980 a filing was made with the Conservation Commission. " Mr. Ball commented, "Board of Health files indicate we denied plans 1990. " Mr. Greelish informed Mr. Ojala that a Title V variance is necessitated for a mounded system. " Mr. Ojala stated, "Test hole four shows 4' of pervious material under the entire area of the proposed system. " Mr. Greelish commented, "State approval is required prior to this Board's approval. "
