MINUTES July 21 , 1994 2 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> DISCUSSION• <br /> Bob Witcher (DEP-Boston) to brief the Board of Health and/or <br /> Selectmen on proposed recycling transfer station to be built <br /> at Otis. Whom should be brief, when & where? <br /> Mr. Evans relayed, "It was Mr. McQuaid's opinion that <br /> this Board and Mr. Witcher meet with the Selectmen at their <br /> meeting to discuss the matter. " <br /> Mr. Bali recommended Mr. Witcher and our Selectmen liai- <br /> son attend an upcoming Board of Health meeting. <br /> Agreed. <br /> *****OLD BUSINESS***** <br /> Eeq final Septage Treatment Plant <br /> Mr. Doherty recommended this Board forward a letter to <br /> the representatives of both towns expressing our extreme con- <br /> cern over the continued feasibility of the successful op- <br /> eration of the plant. <br /> Board members agreed. <br /> *****NEW BUSINESS***** <br /> Variance request for septic upgrade, Shirleyeters <br /> Mr. Evans relayed, "The owner would like to upgrade her <br /> leaching facility however, it will require a local variance. " <br /> "The owner did state she owns two lots which may raise some <br /> questions regarding an easement. " <br /> Mr. Doherty recommended the Board request a formal de- <br /> termination from the Assessor's office as to whether the lots <br /> were legally combined or not. <br /> Agreed. <br /> Continued pending the determination. <br /> New Printer <br /> Board members agreed to purchase a new printer for the <br /> office however, the expenditure shall not exceed $1000.00 . <br /> Letter from CU Insurance re: Landfill accident (Cappellel <br /> Mr. Ball directed the agent to forward a copy of the <br /> letter to Town Counsel and the Selectmen's office. <br />
