TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> March 2, I995 <br /> Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Members present: Steven R. Ball, John T. Doherty and Robert F. Cram, Sr. <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> Mr. Steven R. Ball, Chairman <br /> I <br /> 1.) Warrants signed. <br /> 2.) Mr. Doherty motioned to accept the minutes of February 23, 1995, Mr. Cram <br /> seconded, all agreed. <br /> Mr. Doherty motioned to accept the Executive Session minutes of February 23, <br /> 1995, Mr. Cram seconded, all agreed. <br /> APPOINTMENT - Anne Shaw- Betterment Program <br /> Ms. Shaw was unable to attend this scheduled appointment. <br /> Gregg Taylor- Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant <br /> Mr. Taylor was in attendance for discussion. <br /> Mr. Taylor relayed, "We had the second meeting with representatives from the <br /> Southeast Region D.E.P." "The first portion of the engineering by Dufresne Henry was to <br /> investigate alternatives in tying in with the existing new treatment plant and quantifying an <br /> approximate cost related to that in a price per gallon." "The first item of business before <br /> doing that study was to have a concurrence with the regulating authorities as far as to the <br /> design parameters of what the real design loads should be for both volume and <br /> concentrations." "In the past a number of recommendations coming from federal and state <br /> authorities have been much more conservative and more concentrated then the actual <br /> effluent that's been measured." "In designing plants for the ultimate in volume and solids <br /> many people have found themselves stuck with low volumes, low concentrations and a lot <br />
