MINUTES January 15, 1998 2 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> 26 Melissa Avenue - Mr. Evans relayed, "I inspected the site and found the leach pit <br /> overflowing." <br /> Board members forwarded their signature's to the "Emergency Repair <br /> Certification" form. <br /> 7.) F.Y. '99 Budget Narrative - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "I took the percentage of all <br /> our activities for 1996 and 1997 and found a significant increase in activities." "I don't at <br /> this point feel that we need to ask for additional staff in our department." <br /> Acknowledged_ <br /> 8.) Fin. Comm. Meeting 2/24/98 @6:45 p.m. - Acknowledged. <br /> *****NEW BUSINESS***** <br /> Variance request - 81 Uncle Edwards Avenue <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "The variance relief sought is a 5' sideline variance to the <br /> reserve area." "I would recommend the Board approve the variance." <br /> Mr. Cram motioned to grant a 5' sideline variance, Mr. Doherty seconded-,�l W <br /> agreed. <br /> South Cape Resort - Tax Delinquency <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "The town Treasurer brought to our attention that South <br /> Cape Resort is delinquent $99,000.00 for 1996 and for 1997 they are delinquent <br /> $110,000.00." "She is requesting the Board of Health revoke the swimming pool permit." <br /> "It has already been issued for 1998." "My feeling is come late spring they will be looking <br /> for a permit to open their outdoor pool, at that time, with your approval, we should send <br /> them a letter stating that unless their back taxes are paid by the time they wish to open <br /> their outdoor pool that the license will not be issued_" <br /> Board members agreed. <br /> W. Doherty motioned, as per accepted office policy, that no further permits will <br /> be issued to South Cape Resort until all taxes have been paid, W. Cram seconded, all <br /> agreed. <br />
