P.O. Box 1543
Mashpee, Mass, 02649
Tel: 477-6767
April 19 , 1989
Joseph F. Murphy, Jr. , Clerk
Transfer Station Building Committee
Town of Mashpee
P.O. Box 1108
Mashpee, RA 02649
Dear Joe:
Your letter of April 7 , 1989, to the Water District,
regarding the timing for available public water in Asher' s
Path has been received and discussed by the Commissioners.
Our present time schedule indicates that the water should
be turned on in December. This December date depends on a
number of requirements being met involving the Department of
Environmental Quality Engineering and the transfer of funds
from the Town to the District, which as you know, has a
state legislature bill approval requirements.
The pumping station will take the most time to complete.
Design for this station and the pipe laying is 90% complete
and can be ready to go to bid in May if the funds are avail-
able to us. A pumping station takes about six months to
build once the contract is awarded, so the timing of the
transfer of funds from the Town plays a crtical part in this
very tight time schedule.
At this time, I see no reason to believe that our December
schedule can not be met. I suggest you plan for April of
1990, to be safe. I will advise you during the summer if I
can improve on this time schedule.
Sincerely yours,
Nathan S. Ellis
Manager
f -; Mashpee Water District
PR 2 11989 u
NSE:ngm
x
NMHP
EE fICEt►IN'S
