MASHPEE, MA 02649 <br />APPROVED: 09/10/2024 <br /> <br />Present: Ann Macdonald, Mary Hillerich, Ruth Nickerson, Sandi Lahart, Mary <br />LeClair, Kate Milde, Bethany Geatrakas <br /> <br />Also Present: Kathy Mahoney- Library Director, Lauren Surbey- Mashpee <br />Enterprise <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chair, Ann Macdonald called the meeting of the Library Trustees to order at 6:01P.M. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: May 21, 2024 <br />Board members discussed edits to be made. The nominees abstaining from the <br />votes were corrected along with editing verbiage specific to the Study Room and <br />Tutor Policy. House was changed to ‘hours’ under Trustee Outreach, and specific <br />sentences were removed. All edits discussed were corrected. The Motion for <br />approval to be postponed until the following meeting due to the number of edits. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />LIBRARY DIRECTOR’S REPORT <br />Ann Macdonald had a small edit to the library hours; the library is open 48 hours <br />now. Correction was made by Library Director. <br /> <br />POLICY UPDATES & DISCUSSION <br />Wi-Fi Hotspots <br />These were initially limited to Mashpee residents but were then expanded to anyone <br />due to the Library Commissioners program. That program has since ended, and our <br />ability to keep up with the local demand has outgrown. Requirements now include <br />being a Mashpee resident and 18+ years of age.
