9 <br /> <br />Board of Selectmen <br />Minutes <br />February 9, 2015 <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Feasibility Study Determination – 950 Falmouth Road: <br /> <br />Discussion followed with respect to combining a feasibility study for the Town- <br />owned sites; 950 Falmouth Road, 3.26 acres and 209 Old Barnstable Road, a 3.8 <br />acre site for the purpose of establishing both sites for affordable housing. <br /> <br />Rolling grant funding is currently available through PATH, (Planning Assistance <br />Towards Housing) which would offset costs associated to the estimated $40,000 <br />affordable housing study. <br /> <br />Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to combine the 950 Falmouth Road site <br />with the 209 Old Barnstable Road site, and request PATH Grant funding to <br />allow for the creation of feasibility study for affordable housing objectives. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Richardson. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> <br />Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Taylor, yes Selectman Richardson, yes <br /> Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman Cahalane, yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb, yes Opposed, none <br /> <br />Request for Appointment – Affordable Housing Committee: <br /> <br />Correspondence was received from Bruce Willard dated January 12, 2015 <br />requesting consideration to be appointed to the Affordable Housing Committee. <br />Mr. Willard is an active member in several organizations. As a former <br />superintendent of schools, Mr. Willard was also involved in a number of building <br />projects. References include Bud Abbott, Chair of the AHC and Berkley Johnson <br />AHC member. <br /> <br />Motion made by Selectman Richardson to appoint Bruce Willard to the <br />Mashpee Affordable Housing Committee. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Gottlieb. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> <br />Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Taylor, yes Selectman Richardson, yes <br /> Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman Cahalane, yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb, yes Opposed, none <br /> <br /> <br />
