Cemetery Commission
December 29, 2015
Members present: Ernest Virgilio, Mike Scirpoli, Charlie Hinckley
Others: Scott Carline, Catherine Laurent
The meeting was opened at 4:30 pm.
Approval of Minutes
The minutes from the October 7, 2015 meeting were approved by a vote of 3-0.
Vandalism/Theft
There have been several reports of theft of decorations from plots. Chief Carline noted 3
incidences on December 10t" 12th, and 22nd but there was no apparent pattern in terms of days
or locations. The Commission discussed whether to install security cameras and/or to install a
gate. The Chief mentioned directed patrols to increase the police presence. For a camera, the
decision would have to be made where to locate/aim it. A gate would need to be opened and
closed.
The Commission voted to temporarily install a police camera at a location to be determined by
the Chief and the Chair. The Commission also noted that the additional Lights being installed
might help. Further action will be discussed if the theft continues.
Next Meeting
No meeting was scheduled.
The meeting adjourned at 5:00 pm.
Respectively submitted,
Catherine Laurerli
DPW Director
