Town of Mashpee <br /> Mashpee Commons Advisory Committee <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> August 22, 1997 <br /> The Mashpee Commons Advisory Committee was called to order <br /> at Mashpee Town Hall, 16 Great Neck Road North, Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts at 10 : 30 a.m on Friday, August 22, 1997 . <br /> Present : Peter Dinizio, Thomas Fudala, Kenneth Marsters, <br /> and Robert Whritenour. <br /> Absent: John Kuchinski . <br /> Also present : Robert Brais, Office of Thomas J. Martin, <br /> Douglas Storrs, and William Chace, Mashpee Commons Ltd. <br /> Partnership. <br /> The Meeting was called to order for the purpose of <br /> continuing discussions regarding a change in zoning for Town <br /> Meeting consideration, as it would pertain to Mashpee Commons. <br /> The Office of Thomas J. Martin has been retained by the Town <br /> as Consultant in this matter. It is the intention of the Town to <br /> review the proposal, as submitted by Mashpee Commons, in an <br /> attempt to better understand and in turn respond to said <br /> proposal . <br /> Reference was made to correspondence received from Douglas <br /> Storrs regarding the May 14th Meeting. Mr. Storrs provided <br /> the following materials: architectural code; various articles <br /> regarding proposed development including impact information on <br /> traffic, storm water, etc. ; recent aerial photographs; <br /> neighborhood designation maps; descriptives of general master <br /> plan goals, neighborhoods, acreage, current zoning, real estate <br /> inventory; market position analysis and fiscal impact analysis <br /> by scope. <br /> Mr. Whritenour suggested closure be made and agreed upon <br /> regarding the Office of Thomas J. Martin and their role in this <br /> matter. The Town previously requested a gift in the amount of <br /> Forty Thousand ($40, 000 . 00) Dollars be donated to the Town by <br /> Mashpee Commons Ltd. Partnership to be used at the discretion of <br /> the Town involving the services, as needed for review, of said <br /> Thomas J. Martin, Consultant . <br /> Mr. Brais explained how the estimated $40, 000 . 00 fund would <br /> relate to review of several of the impact items (fiscal, economic <br /> and traffic budgets) . He supported the idea of Town/Mashpee <br /> Commons being in agreement for presentation at Town Meeting. <br /> There was discussion pertaining to Zoning and the concept of <br /> devising a Development Agreement between the Planning Board, Cape <br /> Cod Commission, and Developer as part of the permit process. <br />
