Affordable Housing Committee <br />Minutes of Meeting Held Tuesday, February b, 2001 <br />Mashpee Town Hall — Meeting Room 1 <br />Present: J. Cahalane, Z. Elizenberry, L. Botsford, L. Williams, L. Patrick, J. Regan, and <br />T. Fudala (Planning). <br />Absent: G. Marshall, R. Sherman, M. LeClair, M. Meijering, A. Weinstein. <br />Audience: Arden Cadrin (Cape Cod Commission) <br />Vicki Goldsmith, Donald Dickinson, and Mark Hattman (All <br />3 from Habitat For Humanity of Cape Cod, Inc.) <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. <br />ORGANIZATION <br />Louise Patrick nominated Leila Botsford as Chairwoman of the Committee; this Motion <br />was seconded by John Cahalanc; and unanimously approved. <br />Leila Botsford nominated John Cahalane as Vice Chairman; this was seconded by <br />LaVerne Williams; and unanimously approved. <br />John. Cahalane nominated Louise Patrick as Clerk; Zella Elizenberry seconded the <br />nomination; and it was unanimously approved. <br />Leila Botsford, as Chairwoman, started the agenda by asking for a motion to approve the <br />minutes of the January 3, 2001 meeting. John Cahalane motioned to accept the minutes, <br />seconded by Leila Botsford, and unanimously approved. <br />anity. of Cape Cod, Inc. <br />Habitat Far Hum .,, ,,.,,,.,..._....._ ..,. <br />Vicki Goldsmith, Executive Director, gave a detailed presentation on the mission, goals <br />and accomplishments of this group. <br />Donald Dickinson, President, addressed the Committee and his presentation included <br />showing floor plans of proposed homes they would like to build in Mashpee-3 would be <br />Ranch style and 2 would be Capes. <br />According to Donald Dickinson, the homes do not meet current zoning; they're going for <br />Chapter 40B relief. <br />At the conclusion of lengthy discussion with the Committee, Mr. Dickinson asked: <br />(1) If the Committee would support their proposed projects and send a letter to <br />the Selectmen stating this support; and <br />(2) Mr. Dickinson intends to make this a Local Initiative Program (LIP) project <br />and would appreciate support of the Committee. <br />
