MASHPEE AFFORDABLE HOUSING COMMITTEE <br />Minutes <br />August 5, 2003 <br />Present: J. Cahalane., L. Patrick, Z. Elizenberry, J. Marino, E. Smith, J. Regan <br />Meeting was called to order at :25pm <br />eorgan a ion <br />An election was held to reorganize the AHC for the corning year. Results were as <br />follows: <br />Zella Elizenberry — Chair <br />Jamie began— Vice Chair <br />Louise Patrick — Secretary <br />Regrew of Draft for RFS' <br />13000 is available from the Cape Cod Cornrnission to hire a consultant who will <br />develop an affordable housing plan for the Town of Mashpee. <br />Draft was reviewed and several suggestions were made to amend draft: <br />John C suggested that draft he sent to Jay Tallerman, counsel for Z A for leis review and <br />cornnients. <br />Jamie R suggested: <br />AHC get more accurate information on build out figures for the town. <br />That whomever is hired as the Affordable Housing consultant should be asked to provide <br />references from their work in other come unities. In addition, they should be asked to <br />determine hoar many AHC meetings they will attend. <br />Local Preference <br />Suggestion was crude that legal counsel be consulted about developing a policy <br />specifying local preference fof residents of affordable lousing in Mashpee. <br />Update on 'transfer of Lana for Duplex Unit <br />Bill has made it through the House of Representatives -- ASIC creeds to be in touch with <br />Senator "L ar 's office about status of bill in Senate. <br />New Business <br />Laverne Williams has informed Z. Eli enberry about her intent to resign from the AHC <br />due to her work schedule. She will fll o w up with a letter of resignation. <br />Accessory Apartment Article <br />Revision has been rade to clarify that dwelling is o rner-occupied <br />
