MASHPEE AFFORDABLE HOUSING COMMITTEE <br />Special Meeting <br />Minutes <br />February 10, 2004 <br />Present: J. Marino, A. Weinstein, A. Lopez, E. Smith, L. Patrick, J. Cahalne, Z. <br />Elizenberry <br />Meeting convened at 6:35 pm <br />Old Business: <br />J. Cahalan reported that lawsuit regarding Lettie Lane project had been dropped. <br />Zella reminded committee members that McShane developers want to increase the <br />project to 24 units. A letter is needed from the Board of Selectmen in order to get new <br />site approval letter from Mass Housing Finance Authority, according to developers. <br />If they unable to get approval to increase number of units, they will decrease to 16 units. <br />There was brief discussion by committee members on this issue. <br />Louise moved that a letter be written to the BOS stating that the AHC recommends the 24 <br />unit project by McShane Builders, subject to adequate addressing of wastewater concerns <br />and drinking water issues. <br />Arthur seconded motion. <br />The vote was four in favor, with one abstention. <br />New Business: <br />Zella presented new stationary <br />Eric informed committee of several grant opportunities <br />Zella presented results of a needs assessment survey done by consultants for Christ the <br />King church on a variety of social issues. <br />Formal meeting adjourned at 7:00 pm <br />Informal meeting with housing consultant began at 7:00 pm, adjourned at 8:30 prn <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Louise Patrick, Recording Secretary <br />
