INFORMAL NOTES <br />MAY 5,2005 <br />Present: John Cahalane, Zella Elizenberry, Eric Smith, Julius Rosales <br />Absent: Deborah Battles, Jamie Regan, Alice Lopez, Trudi Ide, and Louise Patrick <br />Guest: Gisele Gauthier from Housing Assistance Corporation (508-771-5400) <br />Meeting called to order at 7:05 p.m. No quorum. Committee decided to continue with the meeting as <br />an informational session. <br />Housing Assistance Corporation <br />HAC was invited back to attend the Affordable Housing Committee meeting because the Committee <br />misunderstood some of their comments. The Affordable Housing, Committee fully supports Housing <br />Assistance in Mashpee. It appears that there was a misunderstanding as to what HAC needed for Plaza <br />Del Sol. HAC thought the Committee wanted them to be more formally prepared. HAC attended the <br />meeting looking for acceptance of the Plaza Del Sol project. HAC would like the Affordable Housing <br />Committee to be a partner and resource to develop affordable housing in Mashpee. HAC was only <br />looking for a letter of endorsement for the Plaza Del Sol project. <br />)0- Aci-io,ii Need to work on communications between HAC and Affordable Housing <br />Committee. <br />/\,diiluiAetri : Zella would like to invite HAC back when we have a quorum to brainstorm on how <br />we can work together. <br />A,cNodi � lent : Zella suggested forming a subcommittee to see what we can bring to RAC. Eric will <br />put on the June agenda for discussion. <br />New Business <br />Zella reports that the Housing Assistance Corporation meeting on "Affordable Home Ownership <br />Opportunities" was, well received and well attended. The Affordable Housing Committee <br />volunteered to distribute flyers. HAC prepared a marketing plan. <br />Eric will distribute marketing plan to Affordable Housing Committee members <br />and Zella would like their feedback. <br />Zella has resigned from the Mashpee Affordable Trust. John suggested that the Affordable <br />Housing Committee form their own Trust. <br />/un�(,m lteiiui: Eric will put oil the June agenda for discussion. <br />Old Business <br />New Member Packet <br />Zella updated the new member packet with suggested changes. Zella thinks the affordable housing <br />definition needs some work. <br />
