Minutes from the 5/24101 meeting <br /> were approved. <br /> i <br /> Review of Abatement Aficaions Received <br /> Personal Property Tax Applications Approved <br /> Les Greig made a motion, seconded by Marcia ding, that the Board accept the 38 applications for � <br /> abatement listed on Attachment A, beginning with James G Gregor and ending with CC Custom <br /> Home Theater-Inc. The Board unanimously approved the motion. <br /> The board also approved an additional application for tax abatement, submitted by Alan Robert <br /> Feinberg. - <br /> Personal Property Tax Applications Denied <br /> Les Greig made a motion, seconded by Marcia King, that the Board deny the two applications for <br /> abatement listed on Attachment B. The Board unanimously approved the motion <br /> Dave Tatly reported: <br /> 1 that Robert Pehrson and Ed Dernello, who moved from Old Barnstable Road to 32 Vista <br /> Circle, had requested a partial abatement. Because they did not notify the Town that <br /> they had vacated Old Barnstable Road, the Board unanimously voted to deny the <br /> abatement request. <br /> 2 Popponesset Market Store had requested a partial abatement because they closed the <br /> store for business to October 2000 and stated that the store had no inventory as of <br /> 1/01101. Since the Board uses an average figure for seasonal businesses to arrive at the <br /> tax assessment, the request was denied. <br /> i Dave Bailey Report <br /> S <br /> l <br /> 1 on 8/03101 the Board of Assessors voted to transfer$30,000 from overlay reserve to <br /> surplus. The Board unanimously voted to return this$30,000 of surplus to the Water <br /> Dept. {Please see Attachment C.) - <br /> Dave announced that he had been invited to speak at a seasonal non-resident } <br /> taxpayers meeting sponsored by the Mashpee Board of Selectmen, on 8/16/01 at the <br /> i Mashp a High School at 7 PM. Dave will provide a report-on the 2002 revaluation for <br /> property owners, and comment about the changes in the Mashpee real estate <br /> market. if the question should arise about why the exemption of up to$10,000 for <br /> 5 <br /> F <br />
