TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD of ASSESSORS <br /> Minutes of the Meeting of Tuesday, April 18, 2006 <br /> Board Members Present: Also Present: <br /> Jason Streebel, Chairman John Duffy, Director of Assessing <br /> Marcia King, Vice Chairman <br /> Paul Andrews, Clerk <br /> Chairman Jason Streebel called the meeting to order at 5:45 PM. <br /> REVIEW of MINUTES . <br /> Marcia King made a motion to approve as written the minutes from the Board of Assessors meeting <br /> held on Tuesday, March 21, 2006. Jaon Streebel seconded the motion. All approved. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Real Estate Commercial Property Abatement Application. <br /> AJL LaCava Fealty Trust II, owner of property located at 461 Great Necl Road Forth, had the <br /> property re-surveyed and found the BOA acreage was too large. Unfortunately, the owners <br /> application for abatement was filed too late, and therefore the Board of Assessors has no jurisdiction <br /> to vote on it at this time. The BOA will carry the abatement application forward to,lune 2006 for <br /> consideration at that time. <br /> . Prior Abatement Approval Voted by the BOA. <br /> The Mash pee Village Ltd. Partnership, Map 66, Lot 1, abaternent application, which was approved by <br /> the Board of Assessors on 3121106, was held up for further evaluation by John Duffy. <br /> Jason Streebel moved that the BOA rescind the earlier vote approving the application. Marcia King <br /> seconded the motion. All approved. <br /> .John Duffy reported that because of the Targe amount of federal funds involved, he had hired a <br /> consultant to review the application by income. The consultant carne up with the same inf rr a bon as <br /> the Assessors'Office. Therefore, Mr. Duffy was comfortable in proceeding with approval of the <br /> abatement application from Ma hpee Village Ltd. Partnership. <br /> Marcia King moved that the Board of Assessors re-approve the Mashpee pillage Ltd. Partnership <br /> application for abatement for the property located on Map 66, Lot 1. Jason Streebel seconded the <br /> motion. All approved. <br /> . Two Appellate Tax Board Renegotiated Settlements <br /> The Board of Assessors had approved abatement s ements in 2005 on the two properties listed <br /> below. John Duffy renegotiated new settlement amounts, as follows: <br /> 1 Map 124, Lot 38, David M. Ferris&Aria salceda, property owners, setdernent amount$223,300. <br /> 2 Map 124, Lot 39A, Cornelius A. Ferris& Maureen, property owners, settlement amount$153,400. <br /> The above settlement amounts include the total amounts for the years 2005 and 2000. <br /> Marcia icing made a motion to accept the settlements for the above 2005 abatement oases. Paul <br /> Andrews seconded the motion. All approved. <br />
