Warrant Article Approved for the May Town dee ing. Jason Streebel stated that <br /> the warrant article for the transfer of overlay surplus funds to the revaluation acWunt will <br /> be included in the special May 2008 Town Meeting. The warrant article regarding the <br /> ruling that no tax bills would be issued on personal property accounts that were less than <br /> $101 000 in assessed vaIue, wlll go to the October 2008 Torn Meeting. t <br /> . Resignation of Assistant Director of Assessing. Jason Streebel announced that <br /> Sue LeBourne, Assistant Director of Assessing, had submitted her resignation as <br /> Assistant Director of Assessing to join the consulting firm of Paul Kapinos. Ms. <br /> LaBourne's neer post is a part time position which will allow her a more flexible working <br /> schedule. The Assistant Director's position has not yet been posted. <br /> 3. Medical Emergency Report Jan Streebel stated that on Monday, March 3, Torn <br /> lcManamin collapsed on his desk and was taken by ambulance to the Falmouth <br /> Hospital emergency for observation. Doctors stated it was a one-time occurrence, giving <br /> no immediate reason for it. Mr. Mc lanamin recovered quickly and was back at work the <br /> next day. <br /> i <br /> . Abatements Overview.- Mason Streebel reported that 256 abatement applications <br /> had been received this year, all within the month of January '03. After today, 124 of <br /> therm will have been processed, leaving 132 to process between now and the end of <br /> April 'o . + <br /> Jason's goal is to have all applications processed by the middle of April. Any applicants <br /> whose abatements have not been processed by the end of April will receive a letter from <br /> the Assessing office, asking for an extension to complete the application process. <br />
