Cemetery Commission Meeting Minutes February 13,2003 Members present: Erie Virgilio, Tike Seirpli Others: Catherine Laurent, Mary Keleher E. Virgilio called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m. The minutes of November 13, 2002 were approved. h The meeting began with discussion of the FY 04 Operating Budget. C. Laurent explained that her request for the Operating Budget was $36,500.00. All Town departments are being asked to decrease their budgets by ten percent. The Town Administratorh n e g the request t $32,,850.00. C. Laurent submitted an article for Town Meeting asking for the transfer of fimds totaling $4300.00 from the Cemetery Reserve Receipt Account. If the Town Accountant certifies the full amount, this will offset the ten percent reduction. C. Laurent informed the Commissioners that the Capital Budget has been deferred until October. Therefore, the completion of the front entrance, installation of an irrigation system, and construction of a maintenance building will be put on hold. In reviewing the proposed amendments to the Cemetery Regulations the Commissioners agreed to hold a working meeting,public invited, to review and revise all the rules and regulations for the Cemetery. The meeting will be held on Monday, March 3, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at the Town Mall. C. Laurent will put together some information for the Commissioners to review before the working meeting. E. Virgilio expressed his concerns that comments questions and concerns are being referred to the forayer Cemetery Building Committee and not to the Cemetery Commission. He suggested the Commission request to be put on the agenda for the next Selectmen's meeting following the public working meeting. M. S irpoli asked that memo be sent to the Selectmen requesting a list oftheir concerns or any questions they may have regarding the Cemetery. This will allow the Commissioners to review this information and be prepared for the Selectman's meeting. The Commissioners asked C. Laurent to contact the Town Clerk's Office for r inf n-nati n n when each Commissioner's term expires. Ther meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
