Cemetery Commission <br /> February 17, 2005 <br /> Members present: Michael Scirpoli, Charles Hinckley <br /> others: Catherine Laurent <br /> The meeting was opened at 4-30 p.m.. <br /> The Commission unanimously approved the antes from the May 12, 2004 meeting. <br /> . <br /> The Commission discussed the paving of the access roads at the Indian Meetinghouse <br /> Cemetery. Because of the condition of the roads, the existing surface was pulverized. <br /> base course of paving only was completed. The cost was approximately $16,000. A.top <br /> course will be completed in a subsequent fiscal year. A Scirpoli indicated that he and C. <br /> Hinckley were unaware of the scope of work being performed. They requested-that in the <br /> f tune all Commission members approve large expenditures. <br /> The Commission reviewed the budget proposed for FYo . The budget amount is the <br /> same as FYo , however, a larger percentage will be funded by plot sales. Currently, <br /> approximately $48,000 is available from plot sales of which $20,000 will be transferred <br /> to the FYo budget. <br /> The Committee reviewed the FY05 expenditures to date., The main expenditures for the <br /> year were the paving at Indian Meetinghouse Cemetery and the purchase of fencing for <br /> Great Neck Woods Cemetery. This fence will be 'Installed in the spring. The remaining <br /> budget, approximately $4,000, 'Will be spent on fertilization, electricity, and other normal <br /> expenses. <br /> The Commission will review a work plan for FY06 at the next meeting. Possible work <br /> items include extending the columns/fence at Great Neck Woods Cemetery, completing <br /> the top.course of pavement at Indian Meetinghouse Cemetery, and installing an irrigation <br /> system at Great Neck Woods Cemetery. The capital request ubrnitted for FY06 was <br /> ■ <br /> ere . <br /> . <br /> The next meeting ill be in May. The Comr ssion will meet quarterly at a minimurn; <br /> additional meetings will be called as needed. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 5:15 p.m.. <br />
