Again, the operational costs will be <br /> funded 100%by cemetery receipts. r , <br /> Catherrrie reported the occurrence of minor vandalism at Great Neck woods Cemetery. <br /> ' The Commission discussed installing security lighting and a security camera, Catherine , <br /> 5 <br /> will investigate locations and sufficiency of electrical service. <br /> The Commission discussed erecting a sign at the entrance to Great leek Woods ' <br /> Cemetery which would list the hours the cemetery is open as well as the regulations <br /> ' specific to-decoration o f graves. The DPW received a number of comments a.ft er the <br /> Christmas decorations were removed from graves. The sign mould advise plot ownOrg,of, <br /> ' the date for removal of these decorations and other similar information to avoid any <br /> misunderstanding in the future. The DPW will also use better discretion.when removing' <br /> items; The Commission unanimously approved the construction and erection of a sign. , <br /> 4 <br /> 'The.Commission discussed the purchase of cemetery management software. The <br /> { software would provide a computerized record of plot sales and interments. At.a future r <br /> 'date, these records could be made available to the public though the To n's' e sit or at <br /> II the cemeteries themselves, The Commission unanimously approved the purchasp ofthe+ ; <br /> software. <br /> The Commission reviewed a letter seat to the Board of Selectmen from the Wampanoag ' <br /> Tribal Council. The Tribe received federal recognition and are requesting that tribal <br /> member Leigh Potter be allowed to maintain the records for the Indian Meetinghouse <br /> Cemetery immediately, until ownership of this cemetery is.transferred.to the Tribal <br /> ' ,council. The Commission made no response. The authority for the decision lies with.the... , <br /> B6ard o f Selectmen. <br /> The Commission unanimously approved the minutes from the meetings f March 3 0,, <br /> 2006 and September 2 , 2006. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 5:00 p.m.. <br /> I <br /> ire L i <br />
