ti I <br /> MASHPEE COUNCIL ON AGING MINUTES DECEMBER 8, 2010 <br /> Present: Jack Dorsey, Arthur Eisenberg, Irving Goldberg, Jack Jordan, Virginia McIntyre, Jeanne <br /> Noussee, Peter Squeglia, Marijo Gorney, Jim Long, Lynne Waterman. <br /> Absent: Norah McCormick. <br /> Chairman Jack Dorsey opened the meeting at 8:30 AM in the Senior Center Conference Room. <br /> Secretary's Report: The Minutes of September 8, 2010 were moved, seconded, and a roll call <br /> vote confirmed unanimous acceptance. <br /> Public Comment: Nothing to report. <br /> Treasurer's Report: Jim Long presented an updated budget report dated 12/7/2010. Salaries are <br /> on target. One employee is covered under the formula grant. We are 88% allocated for services. <br /> Director's Report: Jim Long distributed his report, reviewed each item, and answered questions. <br /> Outreach Coordinator's Report: Lynne Waterman distributed her report, reviewed each item, and <br /> answered questions. Lynne read a poem from a grateful client. <br /> Volunteer Assistant Report. There was no report presented. <br /> Senior Newsletter: A discussion occurred about renaming the Senior Newsletter. The Board <br /> selected `Senior Experience' to replace `Senior Dimension'. <br /> Publications and Handouts: Jim circulated the MC OA `Focal Points' for the Board to peruse. <br /> The Board received a copy of the MMA Executive Director's Report and a copy of the NYTimes <br /> `The New Old Age: Recalling a Simple Life„in Brooklyn." <br /> Jim noted that the Senior Center offers legal services pro bono, and perhaps since there is an <br /> implied affirmation/endorsement, we might consider using a disclaimer. Presently Pat DeMello <br /> and Michael Lavendar offer their services. <br /> Future Meetings: January, Match, May, July, September, and November in 2011. <br /> Adjournment: There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 10:00 AM following an <br /> affirmative roll call vote. <br /> Mary IlYstorpeARcc ' 'ding Secretary <br />
