k <br /> MINUTES O CH 91 1383 <br /> x <br /> MASHPEE TOWNHALL <br /> The following members of the Mashpee Conservation Commission were <br /> present for - tonight ' s meeting : Dorothy G. Studley, Chairperson, <br /> Charles Buckingham and David 'ferry, <br /> Brian Barber, the consultant from Interchange, ret with the Commission <br /> mission <br /> to discuss the open. space pian for the town. There were four topics <br /> of discussion, 1 Prioriies (that is , goals for Conservation, . Pro- <br /> -grans for Conservation and Potential Projects for Conservation) . Brian <br /> ,stressed the importance of each member filling out a list of priorities <br /> eo r e ting that It is one of the requirements from the state Conservation <br /> Service, • 2 Water Quality. 3 Growth Zoning Changes . Brian told the <br /> members of the Board that the Commission should take a position on zon- <br /> ingamendments a hearing will be held- on the zoning amendments on 3/26 ) . <br /> laps on display in the Conservation Room) , <br /> r1earing of Dario Sabatini , Lot 80 Surnmersea , Ma tepee <br /> Charles D. poh ,met with the -ommissio to represent applicant. <br /> f <br /> Chairperson Studley read the public hearing notice -- to construct a fixed <br /> and removable pier along ockway. Bay on property located at Lot 80 Surrimer- <br /> sea Rd. <br /> Mr, Spohr presented teceipts of the certified mail which he sent out noti� <br /> yin .abutters. He explained to the Commission that the pier 'being used <br /> was designed several years ago and has been used by modifying it for the <br /> Marti u lar terrain c the depth of water as well as the length. He •e -- <br /> plain d that the advantage of the pier is that parts of it are fixed and <br /> a large part of it is removable so that it would not be damaged as easily <br /> from ice as one that is expod through the winter* <br /> �,Ir. Spohr told the Board that he took soundings from a small boat to be <br /> sure of the depth of ,rater a,nd the amount of mud in the area. <br /> inr* Spohr mentioned that fv1r, batini has approval to construct a house <br /> on this sage lot,, <br /> David Terry asked Mir. Spohr where Nor. Olt <br /> Sabatini would put the- stuff which <br /> is pulled in7l . <br /> Mr. Spohr re lied that it would be easiest to put it up on the shore. He <br /> mentioned that the floatation material is light, <br /> err, Spohr mentioned that they would be using a poly rope for the handrail <br /> n the Pier system which would o t the dge o the bad'.
