a <br /> SUBJECT: Minutes of the Meeting of the Mashpee Americans with Disabilities Act }+ <br /> Committee,December 9, 2004 <br /> The Mashpee Americans with Disabilities Act Committee met Thursday, December 9, <br /> 2004 at Mashpee Town Hall Meeting Room#2. <br /> 3 <br /> Members in attendance: <br /> William Dundon <br /> Marilyn Farren <br /> ,{ <br /> Richard Stevens <br /> Beverly Wooldridge <br /> Robert Wooldridge <br /> Richard Stevens l lashpee Building Inspector, and Charles Maintanis, Assistant Building <br /> Inspector, were introduced to the committee. The committee unanimously approved <br /> Richard's recommendation that Charles be appointed his alternate on the committee. <br /> Charles brings a wealth of experience with ADA issues from his previous position in <br /> Plymouth and his knowledge and wisdom will be of great benefit to the committee. <br /> The minutes of the November 18, 2005 meeting were reviewed and approved. <br /> The vacancy on the committee resulting from Jim Marr's departure is being advertised on <br /> the 1 lashp e web page. Lisa Talmage has expressed interest in the position and plans to <br /> meet with the committee at the January 13,2005 meeting to further discuss the position, <br /> The South Cape Estates goad sign issue remains unresolved. Richard toured the } <br /> community and noted the road signs are all substandard; however, we are still unsure f <br /> what steps can be taken toImp rove the situation. Richard stated that the Building <br /> Department can control neer construction and signage before the occupancy permits are <br /> issued but has no authority after that. He Will check with DPW and the Planning <br /> Department to see what, if anything, can be done under their regulations. Additionally, <br /> Marilyn will send a lever to the South Cape Civic Association asking for an update on <br /> their proposed correcti <br />
