,4 ASHPEE CONSERVATION COMMISSION MEEETING OF JULY 139 989 Commissioners present: Gertrude W. Simmons, Elliot Rosenberg, Joseph Burns and Patrick Coney, Associate Member Florence Bali and Agent Robert Sherman were present also. Revised plans were reviewed with elevations for the retaining Wallis, proposed regrading at the back, haybaies and the position of the weld.. Quality Wells is the only one who digs wells by hand-, an auger-type machine is used with 3-5 feet needed around the well. They propose to direct it up the hank with a hose and let it disperse as rainwater would to prevent a scouring effect or else direct it into the pond. Samuel Singer, an abutter, questioned the allowance of the revised plans, He stated he had not received a► copy of the revision. He produced a letter from the iashpee Water District which clearly states water is coming into the area beiore next Aprii. The letter from Nathan Ellis advised his best estimate is 12/1/89, Mrs. Simmons stated, with minor revisions requested, it is at the discretion of the board whether to allow the revised plains. She invited him to compare the two plans. Mr, Singer stated he is not here for the issue of how close the septic is to his well but for the conservation end of it; grass too close to the water, runott,, chemicals used and loss of the trees. He asked it they had permission to build the house from the Central Corp. Hr, Roberti was not sure, Mrs. Simons stated that is not in the purview of the Commission. Mr. Sargent stated it is a legal problem because the Quit Claim Deed states in order torr the house to be built, and this comes from the Town or Barnstable, . . . . r.
