TOWN OF MAHPEE <br /> COASTAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE <br /> MINUTES OF JANUARY 17, 1995 <br /> The Mashpee coastal Resource Management Committee met at Mashpee <br /> Town Hall at 7 * 00 p.m, on Tuesday, January 17 , 1995 <br /> Hoard Members resent* Judy Mills ( in place of George costa) , <br /> John Doherty, Ed Govon i , Steve Cadrin, Jim Hanks, Bob Whritenour, <br /> Tom Fudala, Bob Sherman, Perry Ellis, Greg Taylor. <br /> Also present; Bill Hauck, Herb Silver <br /> Mr. Fudala, the Town Planner, opened the meeting at 7 + 10 p+m <br /> He gave an overview of the Committee ' s history and purpose <br /> stating that it started with the Harbor Plan and the need to <br /> deal with coastal issues. The Committee has never ret until <br /> now, and the purpose is to work on the Coastal resources Element <br /> of Mashee ' s comprehensive Plan. There are three hearings <br /> scheduled for January 18th, February 1st and .5th; Coastal <br /> esourCE-s will be covered on February 15th. As a result of <br /> these hearings, recommendations will be made to the Planning <br /> Board* <br /> Mr. Fudala stated that a notice of committee appointments for <br /> Chair- erson, Nice Chair, and Clerk needs to be given to the <br /> Town Clerk. Mr. cadri n and Mr. Hanks were nominated. for Chair, <br /> but they declined. Mr* Ellis was nominated, he accepted., and <br /> the vote was unanimous. Mr . Hams was nominated for i ce Chair , <br /> he accepted., and the vote was unanimous. Mr. Fudala was <br /> nominated for clerk, he accepted, and the vote was unanimous. <br /> Mr. Hams stated that Waterways commission was not prepared <br /> to give a consenus opinion to this Element, but they are meeting <br /> tomorrow and will follow up* Mr. Govoni asked if this is <br /> legislated through town meeting as a By-Law. Mr. Fudala stated <br /> that the Planning Hoard will adopt a version as a recommendation <br /> to go to the Cape Cod Commission and to Town Meeting as part <br /> of the Towns Comprehensive Plan. Mr. Hanks suggested <br /> referencing and annotating new Hy-Laws ( since the 1986 regional <br /> Policy Plan) and key Goals to ob'ectives and Policies to <br /> Objectives with references . lair, Fudala stated these are not <br /> By-Law changes, and he will try to reference back as suggested . <br /> Mr* Hawk stated this Element appears to be one-sided, in favor <br /> of conservation; Mr. cadrin disagreed and stated it is two-sided <br /> It was noted that some of the goals and objectives are ,in <br /> conflict with each other. Mr. Fudala stated this is a <br /> general "wish list" not meant to explain details, <br />
