TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> ATTAQUIN PARK COMMITTEE MEETING <br /> August 19, 1999 <br /> I ; <br /> Meeting called to order at 6:10 p.m. <br /> Members Present: Shelley Pocknett,Jim Marr; Kevin Frye - <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> David Pocknett,Chairman <br /> Shelley noted this would be an informal meeting for not enough members were present <br /> for a quorum. <br /> Minutes were corrected to read"DPW"not"D.B. Elliot", will install playground <br /> equipment. <br /> TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> Playground Equipment <br /> Shelley inquired about the installation. Jim reported most ofDPW's staff is on the <br /> summer schedule but that he talked with Erie who will get back to him. Jim anticipates <br /> installation this fall. <br /> Aquarium Trio/Sandcastle Competition <br /> Jim stated a sign-up sheet will be posted at the park for those interested in going on the <br /> trip and also information for entering the contest. Jim provided an example of a trophy <br /> presented to past contest winners. Shelley agreed to contact Jim early next week to assist <br /> with contest details. <br /> Graffiti <br /> Shelley noted she tried removing some from announcement board one day but was <br /> unsuccessful. Jim suggested purchasing a removal substance or painting board black to <br /> deter fiuther markings. <br /> Parking Spaces <br /> Kevin suggested painting diagonal lines to deter parking by the rocks and other"no <br /> parking"areas.
