HARBOR MASTER-PERRY ELLIS-* <br /> CONCERNS-ISSUES: SHUTTING OF THE GATE AT 5+30, WE HAVE ESTABLISHED, A 9:00 CLOSING TIME& <br /> CONDITIONS OF THE BEACH IN THE MORNING, CONTROL OF GROUPS USING THE PARC. ON T E TCP OF THE <br /> HILL-ALCOHOL ABUSE AND INAPPROPRIATE LANGUAGE. PEOPLE SHOULD HE NAMED NOT GROOPED <br /> BOUYS WERE A SAFETY CONERN AS SWIMMERS USING THEM AS FLOATATION DEVICES ANP KEEPING <br /> THEM BELOW WATER SURFACE, BOUYS ARE ESSENTIAL TO BOATERS AND MUST REMAIN VISU .L AT ALL <br /> TIMES; <br /> LIFE GUARDS ARE BEING VERBALLY ABUSED BY ADULTS AS WELL AS CHILDREN. <br /> THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE, THE GUARDS ARE THERE FOR SAFETY PURPOSES* <br /> BASKETBALL HOOPS BEING VANDALIZED/CHAIN NETS LASTED (3)DAYS REPLACED WITH HEAVY DUTY <br /> NYLON NETTING AND THIS LASTED (1) WEEEK, ALSO INAAPROPRIATE LANGUAGE IS BEING USED AND <br /> PEOPLE ARE OFFENDED BY THAT+ <br /> FLOATATION DEVICES WERE BROUGHT UP RE: KIDS USING THE BOUYS///LOUISA ASKED ABOUT THE <br /> RAFT BEING PGT BACK IN USE //JIM MADE MENTION THAT ONLY 3 BEACHES ON THE CAPE ALLOW <br /> FLOATATION DEVICES AND THEY ARE ONLY ALLOWED WHEN THE WIND IS BLOWING IN A CERTAIN <br /> DIRECTION. MIKE STATES GREAT LIABILITY RISK WITH THE TOWN AND HAS CONVERSED Wf AN ATTORNEY <br /> IN REGARDS TO THIS ISSUE AS WELL THE ATTORNEY AGREES THIS WOULD BE RISKING A GREAT <br /> LIABILITY, MR ELLIS MENTIONED THE FACT THAT DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER THERE IS NO LONGER A <br /> RAFT AVAILABLE FOR USE AS IT WAS LEFT OUTSIDE FOR SEVERAL YEARS WITHOUT MAINTENANCE AS IT <br /> WAS OUT OF USE. <br /> RESOLUTIONS: JB SPOKE MAIN OBJECTIVE FROM 9:00-4#30 DOESNT{T WANT ANY PROFANITY, HE WOULD <br /> LIKE TO WORK WITH THE PEOPLE IN GETTING A RESOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEMO <br /> ALOT OF INCIDENTS HAPPEN IN THE LAVE AFTERNOON AND THE POLICE WERE PATROLLING BETWEEN <br /> 1;00 AND :OO, POLICE OFFICERS ON BIKES WERE SUGGESTED,6 <br /> PARR RULES WILL BE UNDATED AND AND POSTED BY THE PARK ENTRANCE* <br /> HAVING TRIBAL OFFICE TO HELP WITH SUBSTANCE PROGRAMS ALONG WITH MASHPEE HUMAN <br /> SERVICES. <br /> MR ELLIS SPOKE ABOUT BEING ON THE WATER LOOKING IN-BY LATE AFTERNOON TOO MANY <br /> POPS-NOTICED SIGNIFICANT CHANGE SINE THE 80+Sp <br /> LOUISA SPOKE ANS SAID SHE DOESNT HAVE PROBLEMS DOWN THE LARK AND SHE HAS BEEN TO THE <br /> OTHER BEACHES SOUTH CAPE AND JOHNS POND AND HAS OBSERVED DRINKING AT THOSE BEACHES, IT <br /> WAS SAID THE THE DRINKING AT SOUTH CAPE AND JOHNS POND IS DOME MORE DISCRETELY* <br /> SARGENT BEVACQUA COMMENTED THAT THEY DON'T DRINK DISCRETELY ON TOP ON THE HILL,AND THE <br /> AREA HAS GROWN AND MORE PEOPLE WOULD LIKE TO USE THE PARK« <br /> DAVID MADE MENTION THAT THERE ARE DRUNKS EVERYWHERE AND EVERYONE SHOULDN'T BE PUNISHED <br /> FOR A FEW. <br /> A SUGGESTION WAS MADE THAT WE SHOULD HAVE A WORK DAY ALONG WITH A COOK OUT INVITING THE <br /> COMMUNITY AND POLICE TO PARTICIPATE, WE DID THIS ABOUT 15 YEARS AGO AND HAD GREAT SUCCESS <br /> IN CLEANING UP THE PARK AREA <br /> ANN AND HOLLY, THE GAPE ATTENDANTS WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE COOPERATION WITH THE NATIVES <br /> AND TRIBAL ID'S, ID'S SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF AND SHARED WINON NATIVES* WHEN <br /> POLICE PARK AND PATROL THEY SHOULDN'T MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THE GAVE ATTEDANT S ARE THE <br /> SQUEALERS, TRIBAL OFFICE SHOULD HAVE MORE FLEXIBILITY IN HOURS FOR SELLING BEACH STICKERS <br /> MEETING ADJOURNED AT 7:20* NEXT MEETING SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, APRIL 29 AT S;OO <br /> LOCATION TO BE POSTED* <br /> RESPECTFULLY UBMITTED SHELLEY POCKNETT-FILLING IN FOR JANE <br /> p6j <br />
