r <br /> 14ASHPEE CONSERVATION COMMISSION <br /> Minutes f August 1 ., 1994 <br /> Educational Meeting <br /> Commissioners present: Gertrude Simmons-Ferriday, Frank <br /> omeyer, John Johansen, Charles <br /> Green Cohn; 'i zsimmons, Robert <br /> Lopez . ." <br /> Robert Sherman, Conservation Agent, and Thomas Serigny, <br /> Asst. Conservation Agent, were present also. <br /> Enforcement: Default of Orders of Conditions . <br /> Stratford Ponds - Replication. <br /> Nirenberg, Cohen, oktem - Beach Nourishment. <br /> The commission will schedule -meeting with both to obtain <br /> the reasons for default and how and when compliance will take <br /> place. The State will be noti ied. about the beach nourish- <br /> ment default. <br /> Road sweepings at New eabury: The maintenance manager of <br /> the Peninsula Council was told not to inquire what New <br /> seabury was going to do with the sand; Lawrence Lynch did the <br /> sweeping. We will let it be known via the underground that <br /> next year the .Conn i s i on will be watching. <br /> New High School: A letter- was received from Lincoln DeM ura <br /> asking for approval of the site (letter attached) . The <br /> Commission feels that they have received no response to the <br /> Agent's recommendations and are lacking the information to <br /> make such a sweeping approval, The following motion was <br /> made, seconded and voted unanimously. <br /> OTE: . Motion made and seconded that the Mashpee Conservation <br /> Commission will. be .happy to work with the School Comm- <br /> ittee and representatives of the High School Building . <br /> Committee to review plans and engineering design data <br /> and criteria to resolve concerns in setter dated 3 <br /> June 1994. This review cannot be rade until such final <br /> drawings and data is provided for scrutiny. <br /> As time is of the essence, this should be scheduled as soon <br /> as possible, in view of the time that has elapsed since the <br /> list was submitted. A session to review such information <br /> should be scheduled with the Conservation commission. A <br /> letter will be seat to Dr. DeIoura. <br /> dP <br /> Jermyn: A letter from Mr. Jermyn concerning his enforcement <br /> was received by the Chairman and has been referred to Town <br /> Counsel . <br /> Educational Program: John Johansen gave an excellent lecture <br /> on Notices of Intent and Requests for Determination o <br />
